Various news outlets reported that fire broke out at the hospital at approximately 7:00PM on Tuesday, December 27. The fire was a flare up of a roof fire that broke out earlier in the day at the boiler stack above the mechanical room. It was immediately contained. As a precaution, patients were temporarily relocated to beds in the Emergency Department on the other side of the hospital. By 9:30PM the Fire Department gave the all clear to return patients to their rooms. There were no injuries. Minimal damage was done to the roof.
