Florence Community Healthcare has a flexible visiting schedule. However, we encourage visiting hours that will promote rest and patient healing. Before visiting, please consider the privacy, emotional and healthcare needs of the patient. 

General Guidelines:

  • Please wash your hands before and after visiting patients.
  • At times, it may be necessary to limit the number and frequency of visitors to protect the patient’s health and need for rest.  We ask you to please respect the recommendations of the physicians and other medical staff who care for our patients.
  • Patients have the right to participate in decisions regarding visitors.
  • During times of patient care, visitors may be asked to leave the room for the privacy and confidentiality of the patient

Visiting Policy

While our recommended visiting hours are 10am to 8om, family and friends may visit patients at any time, unless for a clinically necessary reason, the attending physician or registered nurse limits the time, in the best interest of the patient.

  1. The House Administrator, Charge Nurse, Registered Nurse or attending physician may ask any visitor to leave.
  2. The patient has the right to refuse visitors.
  3. The patient (or support person, where appropriate) has the right, subject to his/her consent, to receive visitors whom he or she designates, including, but not limited to a spouse, domestic partner, or other family member, or a friend, and his/her right to withdraw or deny such consent at any time.
  4. The hospital does not restrict, limit, or otherwise deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.
  5. All visitors are able to enjoy full and equal visitation privileges consistent with patient preferences.
After 8pm, access doors to the hospital, excluding the Emergency Room, are locked. all visitor traffic will be directed through the Emergency Room.

Visitors must be 12 years or older during Flu season (November  to April)

During NON-Flu season, children under the age of 12 may visit. Children should not be left unattended not should they play/linger in the hallways in the unit and may be asked to leave if they become disruptive.
  1. All persons under the age of 12 may remain in lobby, but must be with an adult in attendance at all times.
  2. Children are not to be brought to any unit and left in the hallway.
  3. Children are not to be left unattended in the Lifestyles cafe'.

Parking
